Mitra in collaboration with our business partner IBM, hosted a successful event at the Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre. The Mitra-IBM Event, themed "Boost Your Cyber Resiliency in the Age of AI," attracted delegates from prominent institutions, including commercial banks, telecommunications, utilities, insurance companies, and more.

The event focused on the evolving cyber threat landscape and the importance of enhancing cyber resiliency. Discussions highlighted the increasing sophistication of cyber threats such as malware, ransomware, and phishing attacks, which are further exacerbated by the rise of AI.

Throughout the event, participants were introduced to the comprehensive IBM Security portfolio, designed to combat modern cyber threats. One of the highlights was a session on IBM Storage Defender, where experts discussed strategies to speed up business recovery against cyber-attacks, ensuring rapid recovery and continuity in the face of potential disruptions.

Another key topic was IBM Guardium, which addresses data security challenges in today's hybrid world. Attendees learned about solutions to secure data across diverse environments and maintain compliance with stringent regulations, an essential aspect of protecting sensitive information.

The importance of safeguarding applications and user identities was underscored with IBM Security Verify. This session covered approaches to protect apps and users both inside and outside the organization, emphasizing the need for comprehensive identity and access management.

Lastly, the event delved into the capabilities of IBM QRadar, a powerful tool for disrupting advanced cyber-attacks and responding faster. Delegates gained insights into techniques for swiftly detecting, disrupting, and mitigating sophisticated threats, highlighting the critical role of real-time threat intelligence.
